Kakaako

 

Kakaako is the new, hip place to be in Honolulu. The community is located between Ala Moana and Downtown Honolulu, along the southern shoreline of Oahu. It gives residents easy access to the 100-acre Ala Moana Beach Park and its half-mile stretch of sandy beach.

Kakaako Whole Foods spans three floors in Ward Village, making it the largest in the state. You can also get your groceries from H-Mart, a Korean supermarket specializing in Asian foods. 
Merriman's Honolulu at Ward Village offers farm-to-table menus highlighting local seafood, meat, and produce. This lively, stylish eatery also offers a great selection of wines, cocktails, and live music.

Artists from all over the world come together to create murals and other forms of art in Kakaako. Exploring the murals almost feels like a scavenger hunt, with a new creation awaiting you at every corner.
