Things to Do
There are several attractions and destinations worth checking out in Hawaii Kai. One such place is Hanauma Bay, a world-famous sanctuary where fish and corals thrive despite the number of people who snorkel here. It also features a protected bay lined with cliffs and a sandy beach where you can lounge after snorkeling.
The sometimes treacherous shore break and consistent barrels at Sandy Beach are for the skilled and brave. bodysurfing and bodyboarding. When not surfing, you can lounge on the beach or grab a bite at one of the food trucks.
Determined adventurers love the Spitting Caves, which feature colorful wavy cliffs dropping into the ocean. It's a great place to enjoy a nice hike with gorgeous views, beautiful sunset, and crashing waves. Take care as it can be treacherous and slippery.
The Koko Marina Christmas Boat Parade is probably the most popular event in Hawaii Kai. Find a great spot at Hawaii Kai Shopping Center and watch the lit-up boat parade make its way around the marina.
